The Sennheiser Accentum Plus is a mid-range wireless over-ear headphone with active noise cancellation (ANC) that was released in February 2024 for $229 / £199 / AU$399. It is an upgraded version of the original Sennheiser Accentum, offering several improvements while still being more affordable than Sennheiser’s flagship Momentum 4 headphones.
The Accentum Plus has a relatively nondescript matte black plastic design, with leather-like cushions on the earcups and silicone padding on the underside of the headband. While the plastic construction keeps the weight down to 277g, it gives the headphones a slightly cheap look and feel compared to the more premium Momentum 4. The earcups are a bit narrow at 40mm but wide enough to fit most ears comfortably. The soft padding conforms well to glasses, and the lack of hinges means less risk of hair getting caught. The headphones fold flat for storage but do not fold up, and they come with a softshell carrying case.

The headphones can be controlled via the touch panel, a single physical button, or the Sennheiser Smart Control app. The app offers a 5-band equalizer, ANC settings, firmware updates, and the ability to adjust your own voice volume during calls.
The Accentum Plus delivers Sennheiser’s signature clear, detailed sound with a neutral default audio profile. The 37mm drivers provide a big, assertive sound that performs well at louder volumes. However, the sound can suffer at lower volumes. The aptX Adaptive codec enables 24-bit/48-96kHz audio at up to 420kbps for high-quality wireless listening. Wired listening is also possible via the 3.5mm jack or USB-C port.
The Accentum Plus’ adaptive ANC is effective at blocking out ambient noise, though it’s not a huge improvement over the original Accentum. The microphone is passable for calls, with audio quality that is “certainly good enough for most”
The Sennheiser ACCENTUM Plus is a solid mid-range wireless headphone that offers a balance of features and affordability. While it may not be the best option for those seeking high-end sound quality, it provides decent sound and impressive battery life. The headphones are suitable for daily use, especially for commuters who need a reliable and long-lasting wireless headphone.
